Ajogwu Boluwatife Vincent, popularly known as Major Heyjay, is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter ,he is known for his exceptional ability to do raw and spontaneous freestyles(not written or planned).
He musical career is traced back to his early age when he joined the choir in his church due to the influence of his Mom and grand-mom, as at the age of 10 he had started playing the piano and singing in the church choir confidently, his love and passion for music kept on growing and soon enough the church choir was just not enough for him, he fell in love with Hip-Hop and Rap music at around age 12 when he used to listen to the likes of Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Eminem, Jay Z and so on. He named Lil Wayne and Ice-prince as his main mentors but also states that the likes of Vector, Burna Boy and Wizkid has helped him develop his versatility.
His Debut single was a cover to Djinee's 'Overkilling it' and it was titled 'Fuck Haters' and that single got him recognition and respect around his locality and since then Major Heyjay has been developing and delivering hits Back to Back,his recent singles include, 'Jankolowa' , 'how we roll' which is a cover to AKA's all eyes on me,he also has a lot of features from artistes far and wide.
He is currently studying Computer Science at the University of Ilorin, where he is already making musical impacts as he was the first runner-up at the university's talent show ( Unilorin's Got Talent Season 2), and he also emerged as "UNILORIN HYPE NEXT RATED ARTISTE OF THE YEAR 2016".
